Plannin is an accomodation booking portal designed to integrate influencer-generated content with travel planning.
The app aims to enhance travel decision–making by leveraging trusted insights. Users can explore destinations through the eyes of their favourite creators, accessing authentic reviews and experiences tied to specific hotels and locations. That offers a new level of engagement and reliability.

Plannin entrusted us with designing and developing a web portal's MVP. We were to build it from scratch and launch the core version within a set timeframe.

We continued developing the platform before gradually transferring product knowledge and technical ownership to the client’s growing internal team.

To make creators’ lives easier, our team developed a custom AI-based solution that transforms movies into map-based trip boards. Now, users can follow the creators’ steps even better.
Video content fetching
When a creator indicates a link to the content published on YouTube or TikTok, the algorithm fetches the destination video.
Content Verification
To ensure the high quality of content published on Plannin, the algorithm checks whether the video refers to a trip indeed.
Listing the locations
Based on the video’s transcript, the algorithm makes a list of all the locations mentioned by the creator.
Mark locations on a map
The algorithm searches for the locations on the Internet and places the pins for them on an interactive trip board map.
Description generation
Based on the video transcript, the algorithm generates appropriate descriptions for all the destinations pinned on the map.
Eye-catching images
The algorithm looks through Google for stunning images of the locations and puts everything together in a form of a trip board.
It’s not enough to build a marvelous app, it needs to be used by delighted user who will return. The KPIs we reached exceeded the initial expectations and revealed a perfect alignment between the idea and users needs.

We started by conducting a discovery phase that laid the foundation for the next stages. Based on our travel expertise and the vast client’s experience in the travel industry, we defined proto-personas to understand the target groups’ needs and preferences. This informed our development strategy and feature prioritisation.

To create a seamless user experience, we began by constructing user flows and wireframes. Then, we focused on designing an attractive and differentiating interface using Figma. We based on original Plannin branding.
During the development process the client’s marketing strategy changed. Plannin was rebranded and we were challenged to implement the brand adjustments shortly before the release. Thanks to our systematic approach, we managed to redesign the whole application on time.

Upon finishing each larger piece of work, designers were handing off designs to the developers and focusing on the next phase. Such iterative approach allowed us to speed up the development process and ensured the final product maintained a high level of quality.
Our strategic approach in development was aimed at delivering a seamless and secure user experience 1. Our primary focus included integrating multiple social media platforms to aggregate influencer content effectively. This required addressing technical complexities such as API compatibility and data synchronisation, ensuring a unified experience across different channels.

Simultaneously, we developed a robust backend infrastructure capable of handling large amounts of data. This involved leveraging scalable cloud solutions and optimising data processing workflows to maintain performance and reliability under varying loads.
Additionally, we implemented a sophisticated algorithm for personalised content recommendations based on user behaviour and preferences. Our backend, powered by the Priceline API, facilitated real-time access to travel data, enhancing the app’s functionality and user engagement.
We introduced additional robust features, such as booking attractions or additional views for enhanced 1-stop experience.
We were continuously refining the UX/UI to provide users with a more diverse and engaging experience.
We also aimed to empower influencers further with enhanced content management tools in the creator panel.
When the collaboration began, we were the only team leading the project, working closely with a Plannin Tech Lead.
As the client’s internal team grew, responsibilities were gradually redistributed between both sides. This required clear ownership, efficient communication and close remote collaboration to keep the work aligned across teams.
At the end of our engagement, we completed the handover of the product and project knowledge to the client’s team, ensuring they had the context and resources needed to take full ownership of the platform.
