Plannin is an accomodation booking portal designed to integrate influencer-generated content with travel planning.

The app aims to enhance travel decision–making by leveraging trusted insights. Users can explore destinations through the eyes of their favourite creators, accessing authentic reviews and experiences tied to specific hotels and locations. That offers a new level of engagement and reliability.

Discovery and Design

We started by conducting a discovery phase that laid the foundation for the next stages. Based on our travel expertise and the vast client’s experience in the travel industry, we defined proto-personas to understand the target groups’ needs and preferences. This informed our development strategy and feature prioritisation.

Greg is a 28-year-old travel influencer from New York who travels frequently and makes commissions with hotels. He loves to stay in luxurious hotels and resorts and is always seeking out unique experiences to share with his followers.

Useful & Stunning

To create a seamless user experience, we began by constructing user flows and wireframes. Then, we focused on designing an attractive and differentiating interface using Figma. We based on original Plannin branding.

Agile & Aligned

During the development process the client’s marketing strategy changed. Plannin was rebranded and we were challenged to implement the brand adjustments shortly before the release. Thanks to our systematic approach, we managed to redesign the whole application on time.

Our designers and developers have worked hand in hand for increased efficiency. Upon finishing each larger piece of work, designers were handing off designs to the developers and focusing on the next phase. Such iterative approach allowed us to speed up the development process and ensured the final product maintained a high level of quality.

Our strategic approach in development was aimed at delivering a seamless and secure user experience 1. Our primary focus included integrating multiple social media platforms to aggregate influencer content effectively. This required addressing technical complexities such as API compatibility and data synchronisation, ensuring a unified experience across different channels.

Simultaneously, we developed a robust backend infrastructure capable of handling large amounts of data. This involved leveraging scalable cloud solutions and optimising data processing workflows to maintain performance and reliability under varying loads.

Additionally, we implemented a sophisticated algorithm for personalised content recommendations based on user behaviour and preferences. Our backend, powered by the Priceline API, facilitated real-time access to travel data, enhancing the app’s functionality and user engagement.

Looking ahead, we are committed to continually enhancing Plannin's capabilities and user experience:

We aim to introduce additional robust features, such as booking  attractions or additional views for enhanced 1-stop experience.

Enhancing user experience

Based on their feedback, we’re continuously refining the UX/UI to provide users with a more diverse and engaging experience.

Empowering creators

We also aim to empower influencers further with enhanced content management tools in the creator panel.

Effective Collaboration

When the collaboration began, we were the only team leading the project, working closely with a Plannin Tech Lead. With time, their team expanded. Currently, we’re responsible for delivering new functionalities and expanding the system, while Plannin team is focused on ongoing maintenance.

Operating with a dual-team structure, we collaborate effectively remotely. Out team integrates seamlessly with our client's staff thanks to smooth communication and project management skills.
